J - A - X

J - A - X

J .... is for jumping. He loves to jump. Jump on his bed, jump off the couch, jump around the house.

A .... is for ADORABLE. Need I say more?

X .... is for HUGS right? I could never get sick of this boy's hugs. Ive always been a "huggy" person and I pray he will never be too cool to give his mommy hugs.

November 1, 2005, this sweet little bundle of joy came into my life at 10:42 pm. Afterwards, I watched Jay Leno and Gretchen Wilson was singing. Don't know why I remember that but I do.

This kid was a chubby little baby. I loved it. He is thinning out big time now. He gets taller and taller. His little handsome stomach muscles are visible. I just love him. His laugh makes my heart melt. His soft skin soothes me. His dirty faced kisses can stay on my cheek all day long.

He is a great helper and a great big brother to Macy. He is smart. I love it. It makes me so proud to hear him count, sing his ABC's, remember things I didnt even pick up on, write his name, color inside the lines, etc. I love it.
I can not imagine my life without him. I know I went through a hard time but he is worth every heartache I ever went through. He is simply a blessing. A ginormous magnificent outstanding one :)

Jax, I love you!

Macy's 2 Month Check Up

Macy was born 7 lbs 8 oz, 20 1/4 in. long, 14.25 head circum
Yesterday was her 2 month check up.
She is now 12 lbs 1 oz, 23 1/4 in. long, 16.25 head circum
Her head is HUGE..its in the 95th percentile.
It almost went straight up and off the growth curve. If it does, Taylor and I have to get our huge noggins measure and then all of us compared. Haha. It cracks me up. Our kids don't have a chance. We both have huge heads. Like oranges on toothpicks. Well mine right now is more like an orange on top of many bigger oranges.
Weight is 79 %tile
Length went from 56 %tile the day she was born to 81 %tile. She is growing so fast!!!
She got her shots and she wasn't so happy :(

This Past Week

This last week, we had Taylor's sisters, Kim & Rachel, and his mom, Cathy, up from Texas.

They arrived Tuesday afternoon and left Friday afternoon. We chatted, relaxed, cleaned, and ate TONS of good food. We went to the park Wednesday evening, Richfield Thursday afternoon, and then up north Friday. We went to University Mall, Rodizio Grill (yum!), and Ikea. The gals then departed for a hotel room and flew out the next morning.

Cathy/Nana cleaned our house BIG time. She cooked the whole time. There was no stopping her. Her girls said thats's just how she is...always going going going. I am ever so grateful for all of her and the girls help. They held Macy, cleaned, cooked, entertained Jax, and gave us good company for a week. I hope they enjoyed it here :) We love yall!

Pics of my Kids

I found Photoumbra Studios back in September when I started looking for a wedding photographer. After communicating with Monica briefly about wedding stuff, I knew that when I had Macy I wanted her to do photos of Macy and Jax. I emailed her when I was ready and she quickly responded. She was excited from the get go! I just adore her. Here are some of the pics she took this last Saturday. I get to look at the rest tomorrow. I am super dooper excited! She was brave agreeing to take pics of my kids and put up with our clan. Hehe. Jax was GREAT, for the most part. Macy peed on this chair...twice! Needless to say we didnt get many shots with that chair. I need to send her some oxy clean and a tip for that. SOrry Monica. She had great ideas. I had some of my own and she was open minded to them as well. She took what clothes and accessories I brought and went to work. She is so so sweet! I highly recommend her to anyone. Me and my family (including Tex and Jade) are going back in late Spring/early Summer to do some outside pics in some tall grass and at a place where there is water and a dock. Im excited for that shoot :) I want to get one of Tex jumping into the water and then playing in the water. Oh that will be so so fun! Thanks again Monica. Here are the pics she posted on Facebook as a preview.

My Family is Growing :)

Hello Everyone! This is our family's blog :) I had a blog that I started when it was just me & Jax but its not just us anymore so the name of it didnt fit. We have Taylor & Macy now too :)
Speaking of Macy, she is just 5 weeks old. She is such a great blessing to us. She was born on January 27, 2010 at 12:37 pm. That was after about 29 hours of labor. Not fun but so worth it. We went to the dr on Monday Jan 25 and we agreed to start me the next morning. I went in at 7 am. They started me on the pitocin right away. Contractions were not far behind. I wasn't making much progress throughout the day. The epidural was put in some time within the madness. It didnt go so well. The first shot of medicine helped a little so they did more and that helped so I couldnt feel the contractions. But it wore off QUICK! By the end of the day, I had gone from barely a 3 to a definite 3...so not much at all. Dr Willden ordered the cervadil to be put it for the night. The pitocin was taken off and the epidural drip as well (not that it was working). I didnt sleep at all. Contractions kept on coming. That next morning, I had efaced a little and was barely a 4. They hooked the pitocin back up after taking the cervadil out that morning. Contractions were killing me. Epidural didnt work. The dr broke my water and that kicked my body into gear. They had the emergency c-section on call due to the cord being around Macy's neck a couple times. If her heart rate were to go out of wack during delivery, they would have to take her out via c-section. But she did really well. I got to a 10 and started pushing at 12. She was here at 12:36. Delivery went great!!! LABOR did not. Macy was due February 11 but we started 2 weeks early due to toxemia and the cord being around her neck. Her lungs worked great from day one. Loud and clear!

This is me BEFORE everything began :)
Macy Taylor Leake 7 lbs 8 oz 19 1/4 in long.

Taylor cut the cord. Im surprised his hands were able to grasp onto anything after me squeezing them for a day and a half. Love you babe :) I kept asking him if we was ok with it all (after the pushing and delivery actually started) cause his momma told me he may turn white or pass out. Not a glimpse of paleness. He did great :) it was so nice to have him there. My mom held my left hand (just like she did with Jax) and my AMAZING nurse Pauline was on my right. I absolutely LOVED Pauline. She was absolutely amazing. Thanks Pauline :)
